Millie shoot City in London

I had the pleasure of doing a shoot will Millie a former Bride of mine, the brief was for a forthcoming website. We had a blast as we found a location near Liverpool St, apart from the stylist who was with us there seemed to be a heavy police presence. We then found out we were in an alleyway that backed on to two police stations one which was home to the terrorist squad!
The shoot lasted a couple of hours and we got some great images.

Held in the splendid surroundings of The Oratory in Brompton Road and then on to the reception held at Glaziers Hall on the River Thames.

Over 300 guests attended and enjoyed the festivities.

Another Trash the dress session, this time Channel 5 news

came down to film a piece for the News.

The bride was Fiona who got married last weekend.

The Wedding of Kate & Luke

Saturday took us to Pembroke Lodge in the grounds of Richmond Park to photograph the wedding of Kate and Luke.

After a lovely ceremony drinks were had on the terrace overlooking the stunning views of Richmond Park.

The Wedding of Fiona & Craig

Well we set off to Leez Priory in Essex to photograph the wedding of Fiona and Craig.

The weather turned out lovely and a great time was had by all.
The Ceremony was held outside and as the Bride arrived the sun peeked through.

Channel 5 were there to record a few moments for a slot on Channel 5 news about a programme they are doing with me.

After a hog roast the evening finished with a fireworks display and dancing.

Off on Holiday

Ok, so now I am going on holiday with my wife and a few folks to France on a ranching holiday.

Looking forward to the break after a busy summer.

Sounds like hard work to me so I have decided to keep near the chuck wagon and the Tequila!

Trash The Dress

My first trash the Dress Shoot, fantastic fun and what a great idea!

TRASH THE DRESS

Go ahead, you know you want to. Trash it. Get it dirty. Get it wet. Roll around in the mud. Drench it in the sea. Totally trash it.
Why? … Why not? You’ve made a commitment to your husband. He’s your one and only true love, right? Then you’ll never need the dress again. And no, your daughter won’t wear it in 20-30 years.

So you have two choices:
1) Suffocate it in plastic and throw it in a cupboard 2) Show your husband how committed you are by trashing the dress, and get some great fun pictures while you do it!

I know, you probably read that headline and are thinking, “What!!!???!!!” Trash the dress photo sessions are not for the faint of heart. It’s a photo session done AFTER the wedding and honeymoon are over to symbolically show your husband that you will NEVER need your wedding dress again. The purpose of the photo shoot is to get some very creative and different photos of you in your dress.

Had a lovely day with Rebecca and Chris, the weather was hot and sunny, a great day was had, starting at All Saints Church and followed by a reception in Chigwell.

Midsummer Nights Dream

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha and Patricks Wedding at Weeley.

It was a spectacular affair with the theme being A Midsummers Nights Dream.

Two Masters

Had the pleasure of spending a day with two masters of wedding photography at a seminar on Monday.

Yervant is from Australia, he is esteemed as one of the most influential photographers of the last decade with his avant-garde approach to what is typically a traditional industry, Yervant’s images are now renowned for their signature mode.

Joe Buissink from America who has covered weddings for many celebrities including Kelsey Grammer and Jennifer Lopez.

It was a fantastic day and I came away with lots of thoughts.
